On The Run
Tall, Blonde hair, and a handsome face. He on first sight is a man many ladies will flaunt towards like they just saw Ryan Gosling. Although today, he's not so handsome, and won't be for the ladies much longer. He pushes through the crowd of people smacking shoulder to shoulder in a rush. As he passes people turn to yell at him, "What the hell!" ,"Yo, dude what's your problem?!", "Are you serious? Have some decency!". Knocking people over, causing purses to fall off of women's shoulders, stepping on them as he goes by. He rushes along with no care for the people he passes, unable to stop and apologize. Besides, being a gangster means living with no apologies. A phrase that lives in his head from when his OG brought him into the Gang. "Never apologize for surviving. No one's apologizing for what you go through, don't apologize for what you have to do." He can hear the voice on occasions in his head when he starts to question himself.
"What is going on with this guy?!" Sarah can see ahead of her on the crowded sidewalk all the commotion of people yelling at this man running aggressively past them. As he approaches Sarah steps back to allow him by and looks down the sidewalk again at what he could possibly be running from. As she looks down the way she sees a small group of four cops running down the sidewalk trying to make it through the crowd as they attempt to clean up the mess left behind. As the group of men in their uniforms approach an alleyway, she can see a couple of them run down an alley.
"Oohhhhh another day in a town worth porch sitting. Who needs Jerry Springer TV when you have this town." Sarah says in a jesterly tone as she smiles and shakes her head.
Jordan keeps running down the sidewalk as his head rushes with thoughts. He starts to evaluate his surroundings at a rapid rate trying to plan out the next move 10 steps ahead. When he reaches an intersection at the end of the block he blazes into the heavy traffic of cars as he dodges them while they slam on their breaks and lay on their horns. As Sarah looks back down the sidewalk in the direction that Jordan and the cops ran to, she continues to stand in place and watch in curiosity as she sees as the commotion continue. The cops that previously ran down the alley, come running around a corner into site at the intersection where the cars have just screeched to a stop. As Jordan begins to make it back to safety on the sidewalk, one cop gives a bursted sprint and runs up onto a car, jumps over to tackle Jordan as they both collapse to the ground in a struggle.
"Get down! You're done running! You are being arrested!" The cops yells at him while struggling to hold him down and get his hands in handcuffs.
"He's fighting me!" the cop tells back to the other three as they catch up to him and assist.
Jordan could feel his heart sink and his survival instincts kick in full throttle. Had he enough confidence he might not fight so hard. Given his circumstances he felt he was fighting for his life. The struggle continued but Jordan loses. He can feel his stomach sink and grow nauseous as he feels like the gazelle caught by a lion.
"Well that was an interesting mini show for the day." Sarah comments and continues her way on down the sidewalk on her way to meet her friend for coffee.
