Books I Recommend for Learning Money
#1 Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason
I feel that this book is a great beginner book. I personally found this book to be extremely helpful. When you read through this book, you may read it as a fable story that is filled with great financial advice. Matter of fact, at the end of this book they actually review how the information in the book is based on real tablets that were carved in babylon. The people, their stories and all, all real. I personally think that the way the book is presented is an easy read whether you are a reader type or not, because this book is small with only 104 pages. The book is also broken down to mini lesson stories that are about 10-30 pages long.
It begins by telling a story about a man in Babylon. He works hard, he is a good man and he makes sure his family is taken care of, but he is unable to make it forward from where he is financially, living paycheck to paycheck. One day during his work he sees the absolute wealthiest man in Babylon, but this man is not the king, he isn't a socialite, he is a regular man just like himself, that scribes tablets for a living, but yet he has it all. How?
The richest man in Babylon then goes forth to guide you on ways to handle your finances and about little things involved with money, like mindsets. Things such as that not everyone get wealthy by luck, or without luck. That we need to be future thinking with our money, and also different small everyday things we can do that our future selves will thank us for.
Personally, I learned a lot from this book. This book over the last couple of years, I have read and reread. I've from saving change in a jar for the day we had no food with two days until payday, to now having hundreds on invested in stocks, we own a small business, and I now get to start a whole new journey in a whole new career.
Types of lessons that you will learn in this book:
1. How to save money
2. Gain control of your budget
3. Make your money work for itself
4. Prevent financial loss
5. Make investments
6. Insuring your future self an income
7. Increasing your ability to earn more money.

#2 How Money Works, The Facts Visually Explained By DK Publishing
This book will read almost more like a combination of a picture book and a textbook. There is plenty of visuals and example break downs to help you better understand what is being talked about. In this book they review just about everything and anything there is to know about economics on a basic level, so there's no need for previous education to understand this. This isn't quite a book on personal finances so much as a book on understanding finances and economics in general. Although the do review over personal finances as well.

#3 Psychology of Money
In this book Housel goes over the different mindsets that people tend to carry in regards to money and financial status. He reviews how sometimes how we act and what we do has everything to do with our finances, other times, nothing to do with it at all! He goes over these different perspectives and helps you to see the different effects that it might have on you. As you read through this book you should be able to see where you personally fit in and what perspective you probably fall in and how you can use your perspective to work for you instead of against you.
